Why I Haven't Posted That Much Lately!

This past month has been a crazy whirlwind. Over at the ranch, Dubost Winery, we are in the middle of harvest (almost done!). This means picking grapes, processing, repeat. I cannot and will not take credit for the work as I only help in small spurts, but it is a VERY hectic time in our lives. So, I thought for an update, I would fill you in on what life looks like outside of the home.

I met Lucas about 11 years ago. We met in San Diego when I lived there for a short period of time. He became one of my closest friends and we maintained a solid friendship throughout the years. A little over 3 years ago, he was living in Sacramento and I, in my hometown of Scottsdale, AZ. I paid him a visit in Sacramento and well, two months later, my bags and car were packed. I was on the craziest journey of my life. I moved to Sacramento and we started a life together.

Yep, that's us about 11 years ago!
The more serious we became, the more we looked at what we wanted our future to look like. Thus, we decided to move to Paso Robles, to help with his family's winery. It has been such a treat learning the ins and outs of the business. In fact, the day after we moved to Paso, we started at 5:30 am in the vineyard picking the Viognier grapes. That was the start of our first harvest, and now we are on number three!

I am often questioned as to where we live, etc. So, to answer this, we currently reside in Morro Bay. Our home is about 45 minutes from the winery; the winery is located in the hills of Adelaide (part of Paso Robles). No one lives at the winery (we refer to it as the ranch). Most of the family lives in Paso Robles, with the exception of me and Lucas. Confused?!

Harvest is wrapping up and I am trying to get back on the creative work horse. My dad is getting married soon! EEK!!! So, I have some projects from that to post. We finished our front deck and are working on our backyard AND I just finished a wedding at the winery. LOTS of posts to come! Also, craft classes are starting back up! Oh, it is going to be a busy and fun season!
