Forgotten Item: Dresser Turned China Hutch

When I moved to Sacramento, I had left all my belongings behind in Arizona. I did this for two reasons. The first being that I moved into a one bedroom apartment with Lucas who had it all furnished. The second reason, and I am going to be brutally honest here... I did not want to lug all my stuff back and forth in case things didn't work out. Things did work out (insert smile) and we ended up having more things than we knew what to do with. Which leads me to this dresser. The dresser was Lucas' father's dresser and the last place we lived, we used it in the closet. Heirlooms are very important to both me and Lucas and we wanted to hang onto the dresser, but didn't want to necessarily use it in a bedroom. So, we took out all the drawers, re-stained it and Voila!, a place to put our china! The next step is to add glass doors on the front of it. We also used one of the drawers and mounted it onto the wall to hold some liquor!

For now, our dining room is coming along. We are happy with the transformation so far! Stay tuned!
